Use of Information:
BOMA Toronto maintains a detailed member database. We generally use this information in the following ways:
- To produce an annual membership print and on-line directory
- To provide effective two way communication with our membership
- To confirm member status with National & International affiliates
The BOMA Toronto membership directory is provided to members only and will not be distributed to non-members by BOMA Toronto in whole or in part.
BOMA Toronto carries out periodic surveys to obtain member feedback on programs, products and activities. All surveys are anonymous and information used strictly for on-going planning and product development.
Summary Reports & Analysis:
Some of the information members may provide will also be combined with the same kind of information from members in other local associations to create aggregate and anonymous research reports. These reports help us and our partner association to enhance and improve our respective products and services. We may use and/or provide these reports to third parties for analysis or other purposes, however, the information in these reports will not personally identify you as the information combines members in aggregate and anonymous format.
BOMA Toronto may use and disclose any information about a member to law enforcement, other government officials or other third parties as we in our sole discretion believe necessary or appropriate, in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement, or other activity that is illegal or may expose us to legal liability.
Correcting/Updating Your Information:
Your contact information is what we use to send you information and surveys. All members can update their own contact information by logging in to the members area of our website and following the on-screen instructions.
All personal information is kept in a computer database accessible only by authorized BOMA Toronto staff.
We follow security protocols in an effort to safeguard any personal information members share with us. However, members are ultimately responsible for the security of their password. Please take care when using and storing it. We recommend that members do not divulge their password to anyone. Members should log out of their browser at the end of each computer session to ensure that others cannot access personal information and correspondence.
We understand the concerns of members who register online for events or services. Verisign is a provider of Internet trust services solutions for Web sites and for conducting secure communications and transactions over the Internet. BOMA Toronto employs the services of Verisign for all third party financial transactions and has encryption software to protect all data from the moment of entry.
