Awards
The BOMA Toronto Awards program recognizes excellence in buildings, their management teams and individuals and companies that have contributed to the betterment of the industry and the Building Owners and Managers Association. Awards are presented at the Annual BOMA Toronto Celebration of Excellence Dinner.
Certificate of Excellence Award
The BOMA Certificate of Excellence is backed by a rigorous certification program that involves a written submission and an onsite visit. Information to be included and scored includes: building management and operations, community impact, tenant relations, energy and environment management, emergency preparedness and the training of the building personnel. Building Categories include: Office Building, Historical Building, Public Assembly Building, Industrial Office Building and Shopping Centre.

2013 Submissions Package
RECERTIFICATION
The building is eligible for recertification every 3 years. For January 2013 submissions - Certificate of Excellence winners who last submitted in January 31, 2010 are now eligible to compete again.
TOBY Award
(The Outstanding Building of the Year)
BOMA Toronto TOBY Awards will be presented to the highest scoring (minimum 80%) Certificate of Excellence recipients in each of the TOBY and non-TOBY (Public Assembly Building) categories. All award winners will have their Certificate of Excellence valid for 5 years, instead of 3 years. Winners of BOMA Toronto TOBY Awads (excluding Public Assembly Buildings) may be eligible to advance to the National competition if they meet the eligibility requirements. RECERTIFICATION
The building is eligible for recertification after 5 years (if entering in the same TOBY category). For January 2013 submissions - Toby winners who last submitted in January 31, 2007 are now eligible to compete again.
The building is eligible for recertification after 3 years (if entering in a different TOBY category). For January 2013 submissions - Toby winners who last submitted in January 31, 2009 are now eligible to complete again.
Earth Award
The Earth Award is BOMA Toronto's opportunity to recognize buildings and their teams for excellence in environmental management in the real estate industry. Utilizing the scoring from the BOMA BESt Program, awards are presented in the various building categories. The overall top scoring building is eligible to move on to the BOMA Canada National Awards and if successful, on to the BOMA International Awards. BOMA BESt recipients are automatically entered into BOMA Toronto's annual Earth Award program.
BOMA BESt buildings certified between April 1, 2012 and March 31, 2013 will be automatically considered for the 2013 Earth Award.

Pinnacle Award
The Pinnacle Award for Above & Beyond, Customer Service and Innovation establish the standards to which all BOMA members should aspire. Pinnacle Awards allow us to acknowledge and celebrate both company and individual successes in each of these categories. Winners are eligible to move on to the BOMA Canada National Awards in their category.
