Awards Overview

BOMA’s prestigious awards programs celebrate and reward top-performing properties, teams and individuals in categories focused on sustainability, building excellence, customer experience and asset value. Compete for recognition locally, nationally and internationally.

Important dates, 2025 Awards Program:

November 15, 2024: Call for 2025 COE Registration of Intent
2025 Pinnacle and IAOE Awards

January 31, 2025 Deadline: Registration for COE Online Awards

February 7, 2025 TOBY online application portal opens
March 7, 2025 Deadline for all Awards submissions on portal*

*COE applicants must use BOMA International portal to be eligible for local, national, and international competitions.

Important updates for the 2025 Awards Program:

COE
- Companies will be limited to 2 entries per category.
- The COE category will now be limited to 25 entries maximum.

COE & TOBY
- Priority will be given to those that have been waiting to re-apply (3 years for COE recipients, 5 years for TOBY winners).
- Resubmissions: Properties from the 2022-2024 cycles wishing to re-submit their applications will be placed on a waitlist on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Judging: It is mandatory for the property management team to be present and actively engaged with the judges throughout the process.

Local applications will be used nationally. Unfortunately updates are not permitted between local & national competitions.

All entrants are required to upload a valid BOMA BEST® Sustainable Buildings certification or letter from BOMA Canada attesting certification is valid in the competition year by January 31, 2025.

Awards Category

BOMA 360

BOMA 360 designation must be achieved by May 1, 2025 for properties to be eligible to compete for a TOBY Award in the national and international 2025 Awards cycle programs.

BOMA BEST certification represents a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement that encourages smart solutions for existing buildings, promoting health, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and low-carbon performance.

Certificates of Excellence

Setting the CRE Industry standard for 26 years, this award recognizes excellence in buildings, teams, individuals and companies. Acknowledged as a feeder program, winners can go onto receive the coveted local, national and international TOBY Awards.
