Important updates for the Certificates of Excellence:

• Companies will be limited to 2 entries per category. 
• The COE category will now be limited to 25 entries maximum.  
  
  

COE & TOBY

• Priority will be given to those that have been waiting to re-apply (3 years for COE recipients, 5 years for TOBY winners).
• Resubmissions: Properties from the 2023-2025 cycles wishing to re-submit their applications will be placed on a waitlist on a first-come, first-serve basis.
• Judging: It is mandatory for the property management team to be present and actively engaged with the judges throughout the process. 
  
  

Local applications will be used nationally. Unfortunately updates are not permitted between local & national competitions. 

All entrants are required to upload a valid BOMA BEST® Sustainable Buildings certification or letter from BOMA Canada attesting certification is valid in the competition year by January 30, 2026.

BOMA 360

BOMA 360 designation must be achieved by May 1, 2026 for properties to be eligible to compete for a TOBY Award in the national and international 2026-2027 Awards cycle.
